Training for Carers
Supporting Carers to make a difference in their own livesConnecting Carers runs training and information sessions which help carers to look after themselves and the people that they care. All of the sessions that we run cover the topics that carers tell us they want to know more about. We are currently running sessions which help carers to manage their stress and also speak up for themselves in a comfortable, confident way. Other courses offer carers the opportunity to learn more about how ‘the System’ works and what to think about when planning for the future. We also run sessions which help carers to understand how to move themselves and assist the person that they care for in a safe way. Our courses change and develop depending on feedback from carers, for details of the sessions we are running this year check out the information below.
Carers Can also offers carers who may be feeling a bit isolated or lacking support a Befriender. Befrienders work with carers to help them to step away from their caring roles for an hour or so each week in a friendly and informal way. If you would like to know more about accessing or becoming a Befriender please contact me.
Our latest programme of courses will be available soon - if you think you might be interested in participating in any of them please contact me, Tina Morrow on 01463 723571 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to email me.
